2. Purpose
- Ensure that appropriate PPE is provided to employees and others working on behalf of the company.
- Minimize the risk of injury and illness resulting from workplace hazards.

3. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and anyone else working on behalf of NEIC Ltd who may be exposed to health and safety risks that require the use of PPE. It applies across all locations and projects where the company operates, including offices, sites, and other work environments.
4. Responsibilities
Employer Responsibilities:
- Provision of PPE: NEIC Ltd will ensure that suitable PPE is provided to employees free of charge.
- PPE Training: Training will be provided to ensure proper usage and understanding of PPE responsibilities.
- Maintenance and Replacement: PPE will be regularly maintained and replaced when necessary.
- PPE Evaluation: PPE effectiveness will be regularly reviewed in line with changing work conditions and regulations.
Employee Responsibilities:
- Proper Use: PPE must be worn and used as instructed.
- Care of PPE: Employees must care for and clean PPE as appropriate.
- Reporting: Report damaged or defective PPE immediately.
- Compliance: Follow all instructions and safety protocols regarding PPE.
5. PPE Selection
The selection of PPE is based on risk assessments. Types of PPE may include:
- Head Protection: Helmets and hard hats.
- Eye and Face Protection: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields.
- Hearing Protection: Earplugs, earmuffs.
- Respiratory Protection: Face masks, respirators.
- Hand Protection: Gloves suitable for specific hazards.
- Foot Protection: Steel-toe boots, non-slip soles.
- Body Protection: Overalls, chemical-resistant clothing.
- Fall Protection: Harnesses, lanyards.
- High Visibility Clothing: Vests, jackets, etc.
6. PPE Training and Awareness

7. PPE Maintenance

8. Non-Compliance
Failure to follow this PPE Policy may result in disciplinary action. Neglecting PPE requirements endangers personnel and the overall workplace environment.
9. Evaluation and Review
The policy will be periodically reviewed to stay compliant with health & safety law, operational needs, and industry best practices. Significant changes in the workplace will trigger immediate reassessment.
10. Policy Review
This PPE Policy will be reviewed and updated annually or in response to changes in legislation, standards, or working conditions.
